Option Installation 3-13

SIMM Removal

Remove a SIMM as follows.

CAUTION:

Reduce static discharge by touching

the system’s metal chassis.

Remove the system unit cover as previously described.

Locate the SIMM sockets (see Figure Section 3-8 and Figure Section 3-9).

Press the metal clips at the outer edges of the socket away from the SIMM.

Push the SIMM away from the locking tabs and remove it from the socket (see
Figure Section 3-10).
