Setup and Operation 2-13

Restoring Individual Files

Perform the following steps to restore individual files to the hard disk:

With system power on, insert the CD Restore disc into the CD-ROM reader.

On the Windows 95 desktop, double click

My Computer

Double click the CD-ROM reader icon. The NEC System Restore screen appears.

At the System Restore screen, click

to restore individual files. A license

agreement appears.

Read the license agreement and click

I agree

to continue. The Restore Individual

Files screen appears. The screen is divided into two areas:

1 Select files to restore — Select which files to restore.

2 Check list of files to be restored — Check the files selected for restoration.

The following sections explain how to use the Restore Individual Files screen. Complete all
sections to restore files.

Selecting Files

Under “Select files to restore,” select which files to restore as follows:

From the left dialog box, highlight the directory containing the files to restore.

From the right dialog box, highlight the files to be included:

To restore all of the files listed, click

Select all of the above

To restore only some of the files listed, select each file individually.

Once the files are highlighted, select the appropriate button under the list. The
buttons include:

Add selected files to list — click this button to add the selected files to the list
of files to be restored.

Clear all selections — click this button to deselect the files listed.

Repeat steps 1 through 3 to select files from other directories. Continue until all
the files to be restored are selected.
