Safety
Occupant safety
Do not route the belt strap across sharp-
edged or fragile objects, especially if these
are on or in your clothing, e.g. spectacles,
pencils, keys, etc. The seat belt strap could
be damaged and you could be injured.
Only one person should use each seat belt
at any one time.
Persons less than 1.50 m tall cannot wear
the seat belts correctly. Therefore, persons
whose height is below 1,50 m may not ride
in the vehicle.
Risk of injury
G
The seat belt only provides its intended de-
gree of protection if the vehicle occupant is
sitting upright. Avoid seat positions which
do not allow the seat belt to be routed cor-
rectly (
컄
page 51). Otherwise, accidents or
abrupt braking manoeuvres could result in
severe or even fatal injury.
Risk of injury
G
The seat belt cannot perform its protective
function correctly if the seat belt strap or
buckle are dirty or damaged. For this rea-
son, keep the seat belt strap and buckle
clean, otherwise the belt tongue cannot en-
gage correctly.
Check the seat belts regularly to ensure that
they:
앫
are not damaged
앫
are not routed over sharp edges
앫
are not trapped
The belt strap could otherwise tear in the
event of an accident. You or others could be
seriously or even fatally injured.
