Operation

Service

In order to maintain the performance and
safety of your vehicle, it is important that it
receives maintenance at a qualified spe-
cialist workshop, e.g. at any SLR Service
Centre, every 12 months, even if the vehi-
cle has covered less than 15,000 km in
that time.

ASSYST, the Active Service System, re-
minds you about the services which will be
required within the next 12 months or
15,000 km, whichever comes sooner.

As the service due date approaches, one of
the following messages will appear in the
right-hand multi-function display, when
you are driving the vehicle or the ignition is
switched on:

Service A in .. km

When the service is due, the display mes-
sage

appears.

matically after 30 seconds. You can also
clear it yourself.

Excessive load on the brake system causes

increased wear of brake pads and brake disks. If
the brake pads have to be replaced multiple
times within one service interval, the brake disks
must be checked. Observe the information given
in the Service Booklet and contact a qualified
specialist workshop, e.g. an SLR Service Centre.
