Controls in detail

Driving systems

You cannot activate SBC Stop if:

앫

the parking brake is applied

앫

the driver's door or the bonnet is open

앫

the engine is not running

Deactivating SBC Stop

Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow

SBC Stop is deactivated.

왘

Press the cruise control lever in the di-
rection of arrow

The

SBC S

message in the speedometer

disappears. The LIM indicator lamp

in the cruise control lever lights up.
Variable Speedtronic can be selected.

SBC Stop is automatically deactivated if:

앫

the vehicle is accelerated to speeds
above approximately 40 mph
(60 km/h)

앫

the selector lever is moved to
position

앫

reverse gear

is engaged and you then

pull away

앫

the anti-lock braking system (ABS) is
operating and the speed falls below
around 3 mph (5 km/h)

Risk of accident

The vehicle is braked when SBC Stop is acti-
vated. For this reason, deactivate SBC Stop
if the vehicle is to be towed, e.g. towed
away.

SBC Stop must be deactivated for it to be

possible to select cruise control.
