Controls in detail

Driving systems

If SBC Stop is active, the

Selector lever

to P

warning appears in the multi-function

display if:

앫

the driver's door is opened

앫

the bonnet is opened

앫

the ignition is switched off

왘

Move the selector lever to

to prevent

the vehicle from rolling away.

SBC Stop is deactivated and the warn-
ing in the multi-function display goes
out.

In addition to the warning in the multi-func-
tion display, the horn will sound intermit-
tently, if SBC Stop is activated and you:

앫

open the bonnet

앫

switch off the engine and open the driv-
er's door

Risk of accident

Do not get out of the vehicle when SBC Stop
is activated.

SBC Stop must neither be operated nor de-
activated by a passenger or from outside the
vehicle.

SBC Stop does not replace the parking
brake and must not be used for parking.

The SBC Stop braking effect is interrupted
and the vehicle could roll away if:

앫

SBC Stop is deactivated by a vehicle oc-
cupant depressing either the accelera-
tor pedal or the brake pedal, or moving
the cruise control lever

앫

there is a malfunction in the system or in
the power supply (e.g. battery failure)

앫

the electrical system in the engine com-
partment or the fuses have been tam-
pered with

앫

the battery is disconnected

If you wish to leave the vehicle or park, de-
activate SBC Stop and secure the vehicle
against rolling away (

컄

The horn sound draws your attention to the

fact that the vehicle has been stopped with
SBC Stop activated.

It intensifies if you attempt to lock the vehicle.
