Managing domains
Managing machines in a non-trusted Windows NT domain
If the Management Console is in a different Microsoft networking domain
from the Management Server, you must set up a trust relationship between the
two domains. For details, see
Chapter 3, “Creating Anti-virus Domains.”
A trust relationship set up between all domains and the administrator’s
domain lets your Domain Administrator account access machines in other
domains without requiring you to specify a username and password for each
machine. However, if a trust relationship does not exist and you do not want
to create one, if you have a username and password with Administrator rights
on the machine in the non-trusted domain, it is possible to add a repository to
a machine in a non-trusted domain.
Follow these steps to manage a machine in a non-trusted Windows NT
domain:
1. In the Management Console’s anti-virus domain view, select the
anti-virus domain. In the Management Console’s main menu, click
Tools
, and then click
Repository
.
The Repository dialog box appears, with the Products page showing.
2. Click the Mirrors tab.
