Using Mirror and Linked Repositories
Alternatively, you can specify the details manually. You must specify a
UNC path, for example:

15. In the Repository Setup dialog box, click OK .
You are prompted by the Query Machine Type dialog box to select the
type of operating system the target machine uses (
Figure 8-5 on page
217 ).

, and click
OK

You are prompted to update the mirror repository.
17. Click Yes to set up the mirror repository.
Its name is added to the Mirrors page ( Figure 8-3 on page 216 ).
18. Click Close .
You now need to indicate which repository is used by which domain, group,
or machine.
Assigning different repositories
Follow these steps to assign a different repository:
1. Right-click the domains, groups, or machines that you want to assign to
a different repository.
2. Point to
Manage Components
, and click
Component Configuration
.
The Component Configuration dialog box appears .
3. Select the Upgrade Settings checkbox, and click the Upgrade tab.
4. Select a repository from the drop-down list.
5. If the repository and the machines that will use it for updates are on the
other end of a WAN link, deselect the
Show progress on client
machines when updating checkbox. Doing so will prevent the
Management Console from trying to access the machines to determine
their update progress.
6. Click OK .
