Setting Up the System
To install NavisCore:
1.
Verify that you are logged in as root. If you are not logged in as root, enter:
su - root
When prompted, enter:

root password

At the

prompt, verify Sybase is running by entering:
ps -aef | grep data
A message similar to the following appears:

The first line of output indicates Sybase is running.

If Sybase is not running, enter:
/etc/rc2.d/S97sybase
4.
Verify that HP OpenView Services is running by entering:
/opt/OV/bin/ovstatus
