Installing Sybase 12.5.0.1
This chapter describes how to install Sybase 12.5.0.1.
Before You Begin
Before you begin, verify that you:

Are following the correct NMS installation sequence (See
“Installation Sequence”
on page 1-10
)
•
Have partitioned the disk(s) using raw partitions
•
Have set up the system
Note –
With the introduction of Sybase 12.5.0.1, using default settings during the
Sybase installation is no longer an appropriate path and will result in degradation of
performance on the Sybase server. If you have not done so yet, contact the Technical
Support organization for specific tuning information that is needed based upon
network configuration and usage.See
