Partitioning the Disk(s) to be Used for Sybase Using
Raw Partitions
Table 3-1
lists the recommended partition settings for the disk(s) that Sybase will be
installed on.
To partition the Sybase disk(s):

At the

Sybase 12.5.0.1 allows a maximum 32-GB partition size.

Caution –
Before you partition the disk(s), make sure the disk(s) you are about to
partition
is not
the same disk you partitioned during the Solaris install.
If you did not use the recommended partition settings (see
Table 2-1 on page 2-5
through
Table 2-3 on page 2-7
), consult your System Administrator before completing
this section.
