At the Sybase Installation Menu, enter

to exit.

Remove the media from the media device drive.

Open an Xterm window and log in as the sybase user by entering:
su - sybase

Create a backup directory by entering:
mkdir backup

Note –
Running the
sybinit
utility takes approximately five minutes.
