Magnétisation 

Vu  que  l'aimant  ne  peut  pas  ètre  remplacé  tout  seul,  en  cas 
de démagnétisation procéder comme suit au prés d'un ATELIER 

ELECTROMECANIQUE  équipé  d'appareils  de  magnétisation 
des  suivantes  caracteristiques: 

Flux  magnétique 

80  -'- 85  Gauss 

Force  magnétique  motrice  35.000  Ampèresp. 
Diamètre  min.  des  p61es  80  mm. 

Placer  le  volant  dans  l'appareil  en  l'appujant  aux  espansions 

polaires,  comme  par  tableau,  c'est-à-dire avec  le rotor  porte 
aimant  tourné  vers  le  p61e  Nord  du  magnétiseur  (Fig.  43). 
Alimenter  le  magnétiseur  pendant  quelque  second  et 
répéter l'opération deux  ou  trois  fois. 

Condensateur: 

contr61er  l'éfficience  avec l'Ohmètre  (Fig.  44)  et 

en  défaut,  le  remplacer  si  l'on  constate  une  usure  rapide  des 
contacts  ou  un  allumage  irrégulier.

Nettoyer  les  électrodes  avec  une  brosse  métallique  et  de  l'air 
comprimé  et  rétablir  la  cote  à  0,7-'-0,8  mm.  (Fig.  45). 
Remplacer  la  bougie  si  elle  présente  des  traces  de  casses  de 

la  porcelaine  isolante  ou  usure  éxcessive  de  l'électrode  de 
masse.  Remplacer  dans tous les  cas  chaque  300  heures. 

Rupteur 

Contr6ler l'état  des  contacts  et les remplacer si ils sont troués 
ou grillés. La formation d'une surface légère d'oxiC:ation sur  les 
contacts, peut ètre éliminée au moyen d'une petite lime trés fine 
et  air  comprimé.  Rétablir  successivement  l'ouverture à 0,65-'-
0,70  mm. 

Vérifier  l'état  du  ressort.  Une  tension  insuffisante  ou  une  dé­

formation  comporte  son  remplacement. 

LANCEUR  A  RETOUR  AUTOMATIQUE 

C'est  un  dispositif  de  démarrage  manuel,  qui  par l'action  d'un 
ressort  enroule  la  cordelette  sur  la  poulie  après  le  démarrage. 
En tirant  la  cordelette, trois  doigts  mobiles  s'engagent  dans  la 
denture interne de la poulie de  lancement  en  la faisant tourner. 
En  relachant  la  cordelette,  la  tension  du  ressort  re-entortille 
le  cordelette  sur  la  poulie.  Les  doigts  mobiles  se  libèrent  à 
cause  de  l'inclinaison  des  dents.  De telle  façon  la  poulie  se  dé­
gage  du  lanceur  automatique.  S'il  ne  fonctionne pas,  le lanceur 
automatique  peut  ètre  démonté  en  dévissant  les  quatre  vis  (1)

Magnetizing 

When de-magnetization of inductor occurs, magnet alone cannot 
be replaced but remagnetizing of the inductor should be carried 

out 

by  a  Specialized  Electrical  Shop,  equipped  with  a  suitable 

magnetizing  apparatus  having  the  following specifications: 

Magnetic  flux 
Magnetomotive  force 

Pole  minimum  diameter 

Procedure  to  be  followed: 

80  -'-85  Gauss 

35,000  Ampere-turns 

80  mm. 

Piace flywheel  in  the apparatus  laying  it on pole shoes,  as in 
(Fig.  43),  with  magnet  holder  rotor  facing  positive  pole  of 
magnitizer. 

- Tighten  flywheel  between  pole  shoes. 

-

Feed  magnetizer for  a few seconds  and repeat operation two 

or  three  times.

Condenser: 

check  condenser  with  a  tester  (Fig.  44) or,  if  tester 

is  net  available,  replace  condenser  when  contact  points  are 
badly  worn  or  ignition  is  sluggish.

Clean  spark  plug  electrodes  using  a  wire  brush  and  remove 
dirt with compressed air.  Reset electrodes gap to 0.7.;,.  0.8 mm. 

(Fig.  45). 

Replace  spari<  plug  every  300  hours  and  whenever  insulator  is 

cracked  or  ground  electrode  is  badly  worn. 

Breaker 

Check  breaker  points;  replace  points  assembly  if  contact  tips 
are badly  burnt or  damaged.  A light oxide coat on  the points 
can  be  removed  using  a  small  fine-cut  file  and  blowing  them 
clean with compressed air.  Reset points gap to 0.65-,-0.70 mm. 
Check  breaker  points  spring  and  replace  assembly  if  spring 

tension  is  low  or  spring  is  deformed. 

REWIND  STARTER 

lt  is  a  hand  starting  device  whose  spring  action  rewinds  the 

rope  once  the  engine  has  started. 

Upon  pulling  the  rope,  three  moving  dogs  engage  with  the 

internal  starting  pulley  fitted  to  the  toothed gear  of  flywheel, 
so  starting  to  turn  the  flywheel.  Spring  tension  rewinds  the 
rope,  as  this  is  released.  Engaging  dogs  are  sled  off  by  the 
shape  of  the  gear  teeth,  to  r,revent  rewind  starter  pulley  to 
turn  with  engine  pulley.  When  self-rewind starter  does  net 
work satisfactorily,  the whole starter assembly can  be removed

Magnetisierung 

Da  der  Dauermagnet  nicht  allein  ersetz  werden  kann,  sciite 

man  ihm  im  Falle  einer  Entmagnetisierung  bei  einer  Elektro­
fachwerkstatt  wieder  magnetisieren lassen.  Es  muss  ein  Mag­
netisator  mit  folgenden  Merkmalen  zur  Verfugung  stehen:

Schwungrad  zwischen  den  Polen  des  Gerates  einspannen.

Magnetisator  einige  Sekunden  lang  einschalten.  Verfahren 

zwei-dreimal  wiederholen. 

Kondensator: 

Mittels  Prufgerat  (Abb.  44)  kontrollieren.  Wenn es 

nicht  vorhanden  ist,  Kondensator  ersetzen,  falls  schnelle  Kon­
taktwanderung  oder  Fehlzundungen  auftreten.

Elektroden  mit  Stahlburste  und  Pressluft  reinigen  und  ihren 
Abstand  auf  0,7-'- 0,8  mm  verbessern  (Abb.  45). 

ZLlndkerze  ersetzen,  falls  der lsolierkorper  beschadigt  oder  die 

Masseelektrode  verbraucht  ist;  auf  jeden  fall  alle  300  Stunden. 

Unterbrecher 

Zustand  der  Kontakte  untersuchen  und  sie  auswechseln,  falls 
abgebrannt  oder  durchlochert.  Eine  leichte  Oxidierschicht 
kann  mit  Hilfe  einer  Kontaktfeile  und  Pressluft entfernt wer­

den.  Danach  Kontaktabstand  auf  0,65.:. 0,70  mm  einstellen. 

Zustand  der  Feder  kontrollieren.  Bei  ungenugender  Spannung 

oder  Verformung ersetzen. 

REVERSI ERST ARTER 

Es  handelt  sich  um  eine  Vorrichtung  zurn  Anlassen  per  Hand, 
die durch  die Wirkung  einer Feder  nach dem Anlassen  das An­

werfseil  auf  seiner  Riemenscheibe  wieder  aufwickelt. 

Beim  Ziehen  des  Seiles  kommen  drei  bewegliche  Lamellen  mit 

der  inneren  Verzahnung  der  am  Schwungrad  befestigten  Rie­
menscheibe in Eingriff,  dadurch  Schwungrad wird in Umdrehung 

geschleppt. 

Beim  Loslassen  des  Seiles  ermoglicht  die  Spannung  der  Feder 

das  Wiederaufwickeln  des  Seiles  auf  seiner  Scheibe.  Die  ge-
