Unrecoverable scan error Unrecoverable Scan Error Technical Support Center:
Turn off the printer by unplugging the power cord.
Wait for 10 seconds, and turn on the printer.
Resend the scan job, or try another scan/copy job.
If the problem remains, then replace the printer.
Service:
Bring the printer up in Manufacturing mode. From
the home screen, touch
> Manufacturing
Test > Calibrate ADF scanner . If the problem
remains, go to “Unrecoverable scan error
service check” on page 2-93 .
Fax paper mismatch Paper mismatch Technical Support Center:
Insert media with the correct paper type and paper
size in the tray. If the problem persists, turn off the
printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10
seconds, and turn on the printer. Resend the fax
job. If the problem remains, then replace the
printer.
Service:
Replace the system board. See “System board
removal” on page 4-32 .
Phone line busy Fax Error Technical Support Center:
Be sure that the standard analog phone line is
active and the line jack is not damaged. If the
problem remains, then replace the printer.
