Cleaning the scanner glass

Note:

Make sure all ink or corrective fluid on a document is dry before placing the document on the

scanner glass.

1.

Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with water.

2.

Gently wipe the scanner glass clean.

Cleaning the touch screen

Warning:

Do not use liquids, household cleaners, or detergents, as they may damage the touch screen.

The touch screen of your printer control panel may need to be cleaned from time to time to remove fingerprints
and smudges.

1.

Make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged from the wall outlet.

2.

Wipe the touch screen with the cloth that came with your printer or with another clean, dry, lint-free cloth.

Moving the printer to another location

When moving the printer and optional trays to another location, follow these precautions:

•

Any cart used to move the printer must have a surface able to support the full footprint of the printer. Any
cart used to move the options must have a surface able to support the dimensions of the options.

•

Make sure the bin extender and the exit bin are in their original positions.

•

Keep the printer in an upright position to prevent the ink from leaking.

•

Avoid severe jarring movements.

Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet before you connect or disconnect any cable
