When you have completed the call on line 1, disconnect the call in a normal manner (pressing the

CALL1

button, placing the handset back in the cradle, or pressing the

SPKR

).

7-3.9.2 ISDN - Answer Multiple Calls with a Call In-Progress

While handling a call on line 1, a call is being received on another line.

Press: Result:

CLEAR

Silences ring and clears the display but does not disconnect the call at the switch.

REJECT

Disconnects the call at the switch

You can choose to ignore the new call (not answer it) or you can answer it.
If you choose to ignore the call, press

REJECT

. The new call will be disconnected and you will be

returned to the display associated with the call in-progress.
To silence the ringer and clear the display without either answering or disconnecting the incoming call,
press

CLEAR

.

In either case, the STE returns to the display associated with the in-process call.

If you choose to answer the call, the call in-progress must be placed on hold. First, press

CLEAR

the

HOLD

. The

CALL1

indicator will flash (on 0.2 seconds and off 0.8 seconds) during the hold period.
