Possible cause Remedy
The distance between roller
and bale formation conveyor
chain is too large.

Shift the roller to reduce the distance, refer to page 109 .
The bale formation conveyor
chain is not oiled sufficiently.
This increases the gap
between roller and bale form-
ation conveyor chain.

Oil the bale formation conveyor chain using a brush.
12.2 Disturbances at the tying unit or during the tying cycle
Disturbance: The net tears off directly after start of tying or during the tying cycle.
Possible cause Remedy
The cutting unit has fallen off
directly after start of tying.

Check the spring rail for smooth running and set if required,
refer to page 102 .
The wrapping material brake
is set too tight.
„
Set the wrapping material brake, refer to page 84 .
The cutting unit has been set
too deep. „
Set the cutting unit, refer to page 103 .
Disturbance: The net is not conveyed during start of tying.
Possible cause Remedy
The net has the wrong dimen-
sions. „ Only use net rolls with prescribed dimensions, refer to
page 38 .
The drive wheel of the net
wrapping device is not
pressed against the friction
wheel, or the freewheel in the
drive wheel is jammed. „ Set the drive wheel and the friction wheel, refer to page 102 .

Ensure that the freewheel runs smoothly.
The net roll is not inserted cor-
rectly into the roll holder.
„
Insert the net roll correctly, refer to page 69 .
The net is not inserted cor-
rectly into the machine. „
Insert the net correctly, refer to page 71 .
The wrapping material brake
is not set correctly. „ Set the wrapping material brake, refer to page 84 .
There are contaminations up-
stream of and at the starter
rollers which cause the net to
slip through.

Clean the net wrapping device and the starter rollers.
The bale channel is clogged. „ Remove crop blockages, refer to page 74 .
Disturbance: The net is not cleanly cut.
Possible cause Remedy
The lever of the cutting unit
blocks the net wrapping.

Unlock the net wrapping, refer to page 59 .
The cutting unit does not
move fully down.

For the "Hydraulic tying start unit" version: Check
whether the switching valve is set to net wrapping, refer to
page 85 .
The cutting unit is blunt.

Have a KRONE service partner replace the cutter blade.
