During normal operation, this memory cannot be
overwritten except for LAN configuration. It is
only overwritten during the firmware installation
or upgrade process.
Because this 32 MB memory chip contains 20
MB of user data and 12 MB of firmware memory
(described here), a selective chip erase is
performed. User data areas are selectively and
completely sanitized when you perform the
Erase and Sanitize
function.
