7 Error codes and troubleshooting

123

7.4.2

Error 5 Exposure was taking too long

and a timeout occured

7.4.3

Error 6 Generator failure

CAUSE A

Main CPU board faulty.

SOLUTION A

Replace the main CPU board.

CAUSE B

An internal error has occurred.

SOLUTION B

Update to the latest software version. Please notify

technical support about the situation in which the

error occurred.

CAUSE A

X-ray generation failed due to outdated calibration.

SOLUTION A

Redo preheat and mA calibrations. Check that the

result is valid (values not zero).

CAUSE B

Reference signals are not reaching the X-ray gen-

erator (R3810) properly.

SOLUTION B

Check  that  all  cables  between  the  R3220  main

CPU and EG200 E-Ray IF board are properly con-

nected  (see  schematic  in  5.5  Exposure  control).

Replace cables and EG200 if needed.

CAUSE C

Failure in X-ray generation. Replace the following

parts one by one. Redo preheat and mA calibration

after any component is changed.

• R3810 X-ray generator

• R3710 X-ray PSU

• Tubehead
