6.3 Unit state commands
The unit state commands, allow the states of the unit to be
checked and changed.
Note! Some of unit state commands can also be accessed
when the unit is in service mode.
status r
This command shows the current state of the unit.
The states are:

idle
state. The unit is ready to start an examination
and is waiting for image capture, from the dental
imaging software, to be activated (a message re-
questing this will appear on the touch screen dis-
play).

select
state. The imaging program and technique
factors can be selected. When the
RETURN
key is
pressed, to drive the rotating unit to the ready posi-
tion, the unit will enter the next state, ready.

ready
state. The unit is ready to take an exposure.
The text
READY
will appear on the touch screen
display.

exposure
state. The unit will enter this state when
the exposure switch is pressed and held down. The
unit will enter the next state when the exposure
button is released after the exposure is complete.

transfer
_check state. The image to being trans-
ferred from the unit to the PC. Note that image
transfer already starts during exposure.

service
state. The unit is accepts the service com-
mands.
-
error
state. The unit will enter this state if it mal-
functions. An error message will appear on the unit
touch screen display and the s2terminal if it is con-
nected.
