Automatic Software Update
Main menu - Service menu
Select the required setting (On/Off) using the

buttons.
Setting “On”:
The receiver automatically searches for any new software available every day when updating the tvtv data
and compares the channel list you have stored on the receiver with the delta channel list transmitted. Your
channel list
is not overwritten, only updated . For example, if the name or frequency of a channel changes,
the old parameters for the relevant channel will be replaced by the new ones in your channel list on the
receiver. The channel is not moved in the channel list. New channels that have not yet been stored in your
channel list are added to the end of the list. Channels that are no longer broadcast are deleted.
Setting “Off”:
The receiver does not make the changes automatically without your approval but
saves them temporarily until the next time you start the receiver.
The on-screen display shown below will appear on the next restart.
The receiver will not automatically search for any new software available, nor does it compare the channel
list you have stored on the receiver with the delta channel list transmitted. However, you can perform a man-
ual software update, as described under “Software Update via satellite” or “Update via USB”, at any time.
If new software or changes to the channel list are found, you will see the following on-screen display the
next time you start the UFS 923 (the original on-screen displays may vary from these example screenshots):
