Main menu - Channel search
Automatic channel search
After calling up the menu, you will see the
following on-screen display:
The

buttons allow you to select
the parameters you want to change for the
search.
Satellite and position
Now use the

buttons to select between the individual satellites you have set up or the setting “All”.
If you select “All”, all the individual satellites you have set up will be searched for new channels. Make sure
your receiver is aligned to this/these satellite(s).
Channel search mode
Use the

buttons to select the type of channels you want to search for. You have three options:
- “free & scrambled” All channels are searched for.
- “only free” Only free-to-air channels are searched for.
- “only scrambled” Only encrypted channels are searched for
To view encrypted channels, you need an appropriate CA (Conditional Access) module and a
valid smart card together with a valid subscription to the relevant pay TV provider.
Network scan
Use the

buttons (On/Off) to select whether a network scan should be performed. If you set the
network scan to “Off”, only the factory set transponders for the satellite(s) you previously selected will be
scanned for new and as yet unlisted channels. If you set the network scan to “On”, the transponder network
enables additional transponders that have not yet been stored to be located. These are then stored and
searched through for new channels like with the existing transponders. Once you have made all the settings,
use the

buttons to switch to the “Start Search” selection fi eld and press the

button to con fi rm
you want to start searching.
