13.1.7 Stenosis ratio measurement
Function: measures and calculates the stenosis degree of the blood vessel. There are two kinds of
stenosis ratio, one is distance stenosis ratio the other is area stenosis ratio. Both are calculated according to
the distance and area.
Formulas:
Distance stenosis ratio: %D= [(D1-D2)/D1] * 100%
Area stenosis ratio: %A= [(A1-A2)/A1] * 100%
Where, D1 is the distance at the non-stenosis position; A1 is the area at the non-stenosis position. D2
and A2 are separately the distance and area at the stenosis position.
A. Distance Stenosis Ratio
1. Move the cursor to the

key;
2. Measure the distance D1 at the non-stenosis position, the method sees “Distance” measurement;
3. Measure the distance D2 at the stenosis position, the method sees “Distance” measurement. After
finish the measurement, the calculated value will be shown on the right of the shown area;
4. Repeat the steps 2, 3 to measure the next distance stenosis ratio.
B. Area Stenosis Ratio

key;
2. Measure the area A1 at the non-stenosis position, the method sees “Cir/Area” of the “Ellipse”;
3. Measure the area A2 at the stenosis position and the method sees “Cir/Area” of the “Ellipse”. After
finish the measurement, the calculated value will be shown on the right of the shown area;
4. Repeat the steps 2, 3 to measure the next area stenosis ratio.
13.1.8 Ratio measurement
Function: measures and calculates the ratio of two distances, the first measured value as the numerator,
the second measured value as the denominator.
1. Move the cursor to

2. Measure the first the distance, the method sees “Distance” measurement;
3. Measure the second the distance, the method sees “Distance” measurement, the ratio value is real
time shown on the right of the screen;
4.Repeat steps 2 and 3 to start a new ratio measurement.
