TRANSMISSION (STARTING/DRIVING) *
Note:
The automatic & manual transmission
is not provided with shift level P-gear
locking function; therefore, the shift
level will be locked once being
switched to the P gear. Do not pull
the shift lever forcibly in this case.
Instead, depress the brake pedal to
unlock the P gear when the ignition
key is connected to realize gear shift.
• The parking gear (P) can be shifted
only when the vehicle is completely
stably stopped after depressing the
brake pedal.
• Always confirm that the shift lever is
at parking gear (P) before leaving
the vehicle.
Gear display for automatic &
manual transmission
The upper area of the combination
display on the instrument panel is for
gears display of the automatic & manual
transmission.
The gears of the automatic & manual
transmission are indicated by the gear
display.
Driving mode
Normal mode:
Such mode is
applicable for all normal driving
conditions. In this mode, if the vehicle
is running with favorable economy, all
indicator lamps on the key will go out.
Sports mode:
It is applicable to
sporty driving of race. During
automatic shifting, the engine speed is
relatively high, so as to ensure the
driving power performance and
acceleration performance in priority.
Once the sports mode is selected, the
indicator lamp “S” on the key will be
lighted.
Snow mode:
The relatively
gentle
driving mode is applicable for driving
on the wet and slippery road since the
engine speed during automatic shifting
is relatively low. After selecting the snow
mode, the indicator lamp “ ” on the key
will be lighted.
Manual mode:
The application
of manual mode can enhance the
driving pleasure . To protect the
transmission, only when the vehicle and
engine speeds are appropriate can the
transmission realize upshift or downshift
after shifting.
It is useless to move the shift lever
continuously and the gear can only be
switched in sequence from 1
st
to 4
th
gears.
