THREE-WAY CATALYTIC CONVERTER
The three-way catalytic converter
may be damaged in case of improper
engine running, therefore:
– Have it serviced regularly either at
Dongfeng Franchise Store or IKCO
authorised representatives according
to the Warranty Manual;
– Have the engine checked either at
Dongfeng Franchise Store or IKCO
authorised representatives in case of
difficult cold start;
– Have the engine checked either at
Dongfeng Franchise Store or IKCO
authorised representatives in case of
unstable running;
– Refill the fuel immediately when the
low fuel level warning lamp is lighted,
because too low level will cause the
fuel supply irregular and the engine
running improper correspondingly;
– Do not start the engine by towing or
pushing the vehicle;
– Do not force the engine to be started
when the spark plug is faulty or the
ignition coil is disconnected;
– After high-speed driving, run the
engine at an idle speed before shutting
it down;
– Since the working temperature of
the three-way catalytic converter is
extremely high, do not make any
inflammables (such as dry grasses
and combustible fluids) adhered on its
casing surface to avoid fire disaster.
Personnel shall not approach the
exhaust pipe to avoid scalding.
Note:
It is prohibited to use the leaded gasoline,
which will damage the threeway catalytic
converter and cause the engine failure
to work normally.
