Reverse radar display
In terms of vehicle equipped with
dotmatrix type multi-function display, see
Page 75 for display of the distance of
obstacle detected by the reverse radar.
During reversing, the distance of
obstacle away from the vehicle tail can
be displayed and indicated on the multi
function display.
Do not move the vehicle backwards
any more if three levels of short bars
indicating for obstacles are lighted.
If the obstacle is about 30cm away from
the detecting sensor, the buzzer will
send out continuous alarms. Be much
more careful at this moment.
Activating/deactivating
When the ignition key is at the M position
and the transmission lever is shifted
to the reverse gear, the buzzer beeps
once, suggesting that the detecting
system is activated.
Turn off the reverse radar by shifting the
transmission lever off the reverse gear.
The ultrasonic interference sources
around the radar system such as
horn, motorcycle engine and some
radio equipment (like walkie-talkie) will
influence the detection and alarm of
reverse radar.

Reverse radar
The obstacle detecting sensor is located
in the rear bumper.
Shift to the reverse gear to reverse the
vehicle; afterwards, the radar detector
can detect for obstacles behind the
vehicle tail when the vehicle speed is
lower than 5km/h.
If an obstacle is within the detecting
range, the buzzer installed at the left rear
of the vehicle will sound for alarming. If
the obstacle is about 75cm away from
the detecting sensor, the buzzer will
alarm at higher frequency.
Note:
Ensure that the obstacle detecting sensor
is not covered by dirt, rime and snow in
winter and bad weather.
Note:
The detecting range of the reverse radar,
even if equipped, is limited; therefore,
observe the environmental condition
carefully behind the vehicle tail as well so
as to ensure safety.
Note:
Though the vehicle equipped with dot-
matrix type multi-function display can know
the situation of obstacle through the display
screen, but you still can not completely rely
on the screen for reverse control.
Note:
The sharp projections and small long
objects cannot be detected by the
reverse gear.
