Selection of driving mode
• Press down the S key, the indicator lamp
S will be lighted and the vehicle enters
the sports mode; press down the S key
again to return to the normal mode.
• Press down the “ ” key, the indicator
lamp “ ” will be lighted and the vehicle
enters the snow mode (when the 1
st
gear fails to function). Start the vehicle
at 2
nd
gear. Press down the “ ” key
again to return to the normal mode.
• When the O/D button is pressed down,
the O/D indicator lamp will come on,
and the vehicle gets into the O/D mode;
pressing the O/D button again can make
the vehicle return the normal mode.
TRANSMISSION (STARTING/DRIVING) *
Gear display for automatic
transmission
The upper area of the combination
display on the instrument panel is for
gears display of automatic transmission.
The gears of the automatic transmission
are indicated by the gear display.
Driving mode
Normal mode:
Such mode is applicable
for all normal driving conditions. In the
mode, if the vehicle is running with
favorable economy, all indicator lamps
on the key will go out.
Sports mode:
It is applicable to
sporty driving of race. During
automatic shifting, the engine speed is
relatively high, so as to ensure the driving
power performance and acceleration
performance in priority. Once the sports
mode is selected, the indicator lamp “S”
on the key will be lighted.
*If installed on your vehicle
Snow mode:
The relatively
gentle driving mode is applicable
for driving on the wet and slippery road
since the engine speed during automatic
shifting is relatively low. After selecting
the snow mode, the indicator lamp “ ”
on the key will be lighted.
O/D mode:
when the shift lever is
shifted to D gear, the automatic
transmission will be shifted to 3rd gear to
the largest extent as this button is pressed
down; if this mode is activated when the
transmission is shifted to 4th gear, then
the transmission will be shifted to 3rd
gear in a constrained manner.
The indicator lamp on this button will
come on when the O/D mode is selected.
The O/D mode should be selected when
driving down the slope in hill area to
improve the engine braking effect. The
O/D mode can also prevent the frequent
gearshift between 3rd and 4th gear when
driving in urban area and no high speed
or intermittent driving is required.
