FUEL-SAVING MEASURES
Loading goods onto the vehicle
reasonably
Do not place useless items on the
vehicle, for their weight will waste fuel.
Driving should be gentle and stable.
The following basic essentials
should be remembered:
Starting: There is no need of pre
heating the engine before starting. Start
slowly and accelerate gradually.
Driving: Keep the appropriate engine
speed: higher than 2,500r/min during
normal driving and higher than 3,000r/
min during upshifting. Avoid the engine
running at too low speed. The vehicle
speed when driving should be stable
to avoid frequently sudden braking.
Make proper preparation for changes in
traffic conditions in advance to avoid flat
footed.
Control the vehicle speed
When the vehicle speed exceeds the
economical speed (60-90km/h), fuel
consumption will increase significantly
with the increased speed.
Organizational driving
Avoid driving in a short distance. After
the start, fuel consumption in the first
kilometer is more than twice of the
normal conditions, because the engine
has not yet reached the optimum
working temperature.
Driving in the urban area is not helpful
for fuel saving, thus, choose an
appropriate route for highway driving
and avoid crossing the heavy traffic area
if possible.
