Opening the engine hood
Pull outwards the black handle at the
left lower part of the instrument panel,
unlock the inside lock of the engine hood
and turn the safety hook handle at the
middle of the engine hood to the left to
open the engine hood.
Strut
Put the strut in place after opening
the engine hood. There is only one
supporting position for the strut, as
shown above.
ENGINE HOOD OPENING/CLOSING
NOTE :
Only when the vehicle is stopped can
the inside handle of the engine hood be
pulled.
NOTE :
Confirm that the strut top has been
seated into the supporting hole of the
engine hood.Do not open the engine
hood against strong wind.
Closing the engine hood
Stably support the engine hood by hands
and push it backwards slightly to make
the strut detach from the supporting
hole.
Then clamp tightly the strut after being
seated, lay down the engine hood slowly
to the bottom limit, and check that the
engine hood is locked.
NOTE :
Do not lay down the engine hood forcibly
but release it after it is placed to 3/4 of
its stroke.
