SAFETY BELT
Warning:
Never let two children share the same
safety belt as shown, since the impact
cannot be transferred normally in this
case. During vehicle collision, two
children will be crowded together and
seriously injured. Each safety belt is
exclusive for one person only.
Application of safety belt for
pregnant women
The safety belt serves for all of us,
including the pregnant women. As other
passengers, if the pregnant woman
does not wear the safety belt, she is
more likely to be injured seriously. The
safety belt for the pregnant woman
shall be of threepoint type (three-point
anchorage) with the lap belt fastened
as low as possible, i.e. lower than the
whole round pregnant part.
If fastened correctly, the safety belt can
reduce the possibility of hurting the
fetus in case of vehicle collision. For
pregnant women and other people as
well, wearing the safety belt correctly is
the key to ensuring effectiveness of the
safety belt.
Application of safety belt for children
The accident statistics prove that it is
relatively safer to ask the older children
(at an age of 10-15) take the rear seat
and fasten the safety belt.
- The children not wearing the safety
belt may be thrown out of the vehicle
during the collision.
- The children not wearing safety belt
may bump into other passengers
wearing the safety belt.
Apply the shoulder belt at the children’s
shoulder to make the children’s upper
body restrained during the vehicle
collision.
