4.4.3 Preliminary positioning

•

Position the feeder behind the lathe, by taking into ac-
count the overall dimensions and side plays of both
machines. The coupling distance

INFORMATION: it is not always necessary to con-
trol the bar-pusher all the way out. In fixed head-
stock lathes, its stroke can be reduced to 100 mm to
allow the feeder to be brought as close as possible to
the lathe; contact IEMCA After-sales Service for
more information.

•

Roughly adjust the working axis height to obtain
alignment with the lathe by turning the feet screws.
