Replacing the battery
Replaci ng the battery IBM has designed this product with your safety in mind. The lithium battery must be
handled correctly to avoid possible danger. If you replace the battery, you must
adhere to the following instructions.
Note: In the U.S., call 1-800-IBM-4333 for information about battery disposal.
If you replace the original lithium battery with a heavy-metal battery or a battery with
heavy-metal components, be aware of the following environmental consideration.
Batteries and accumulators that contain heavy metals must not be disposed of with
normal domestic waste. They will be taken back free of charge by the manufacturer,
distributor, or representative, to be recycled or disposed of in a proper manner.
To order replacement batteries, call 1-800-772-2227 within the United States, and 1-
800-465-7999 or 1-800-465-6666 within Canada. Outside the U.S. and Canada, call
your IBM reseller or IBM marketing representative.
Note: After you replace the battery, you must reconfigure your server and reset the
system date and time.

has been lost.
Action: Shut down the server and replace the adapters; then, restart the
server to reestablish the connection.
16 Informational Explanation: Team nn . An adapter has reestablished the link. Network
connection has been restored.
Action: None.
17 Informational Explanation: Team nn . Preferred primary adapter has been detected.
Action: None.
18 Informational Explanation: Team nn . Preferred secondary adapter has been detected.
Action: None.
19 Informational Explanation: Team nn . Preferred primary adapter took over.
Action: None.
20 Informational Explanation: Team nn . Preferred secondary adapter took over.
Action: None.
21 Warning Explanation: Team nn . Primary adapter does not sense any probes.
Possible reason: partitioned Team.
Action: Make sure the cables of the adapter team are connected to the same
LAN segment. Reconfigure the team if necessary.
