The following material is required to analyze the gas:
-
Gas sampling bag for TCU to determine the gas formation rate. HYDAC
p/no.: 3568340
-
Adapter hose to attach the gas sampling bag.
HYDAC p/no.: 3572270
-
Stopwatch to determine the time it takes to fill the gas sampling bag
Proceed as follows to determine the gas formation rate:
1.
Remove the hose attached to the gas sampling connection and attach
the adapter hose (max. 10 cm in length)
2.
Wait at least 5 cycles to flush the adapter hose.
3.
Insert the connection nozzle of the gas sampling bag into the adapter
hose.
4.
Open the valve of the gas sampling bag one full turn and start the
stopwatch at the same time.
Fill the gas sampling bag to approx. 2/3 (~ 300ml). The required filling
time depends on the gas quantity withdrawn. The following periods can
serve as guideline values depending on the upper pressure in the
vacuum colony:
Display of upper pressure
Required filling time
50 mbar(abs)
>12 h
100 mbar(abs)
40 min
130 mbar(abs)
30 min
200 mbar(abs)
25 min
5.
> 200 mbar(abs)
< 20 min
These are only guideline values. In particular, monitor the filling process
more often with shorter filling periods.
6.
When the gas sampling bag is 2/3 full, close the valve, stop the
stopwatch and remove the bag from the adapter hose.
7.
Remove the adapter hose and attach the hose (e.g. to the collecting
canister.
Mark the sample as follows:
1 - Oil
temperature
2 - Ambient
temperature
3 - Atmospheric pressure (where available)
4 - Saturation (relative moisture) and temperature of the oil (when
AquaSensor AS 1000 available)
12.
5 - Upper and lower pressure of the degasification and dewatering
unit
