Checking the gas and water content in the oil
Oil samples for gas analysis (DGA)
The following material is required to analyze the gas:
-
A flask for DGA sampling
HYDAC Item No. 3561424
(or comparable sampling equipment)
-
A device for capturing the oil (content ~ 500ml)
Proceed as follows to analyze the gas:
1.
Switch off the main switch on the TCU
2.
Remove the dust cap of the measurement point (miniature test port)
3.
Loosen the hose adapter ~ 1 rotation on the measurement point.
4.
Please note that the check valve of the measurement coupling must not
open.
5.
Connect the hose going to the flask with the adapter.
6.
The flask and the hoses must be held vertically to prevent the ambient air
mixing with the oil sample and the air flowing out upwards. Hold the end
of the hose into a collecting vessel.
7.
Turn the adapter a few times and allow the oil to flow into the flask.
8.
Let the oil bleed until the oil in the flask contains no bubbles. To do so,
knock the hoses and flask repeatedly to loosen air bubbles. To rinse the
flask, allow approx. 100 ml of oil to overflow into the collecting container.
9.
Unscrew the adapter until the check valve of the measurement coupling
closes.
10.
Position the clamps as close as possible to the glass flask and tighten
them.
11.
Screw the dust cap onto the measurement point.
