high definition

Refers to a video system of higher resolution than standard-definition
(SD) video, most commonly at display resolutions of 1280×720 (720p)
or 1920×1080 (1080i or 1080p, full HD). High definition (HD) refers
to an increase in display or visual resolution of television formats
(HDTV), high definition video (used in HDTV broadcasting, digital
film and computer HD video film formats), high definition multimedia
interface (HDMI), an all-digital audio and video interface capable of
transmitting uncompressed streams and other formats for recording
and transmitting visual and audio communications.

left screen

This is the screen of the left HD display in the telepresence system and
displays the video from the left codec.

M

middle screen

This is the screen of the middle HD display in the telepresence system
and displays the video from the middle codec.

multi-functional
socket

This is an integrated tabletop socket that provides AC power
interfaces, VGA interfaces, audio interfaces, and network interfaces.

P

Picture in Picture

Picture in Picture (PiP) is a feature of some television receivers and
similar devices. One program (channel) is displayed on the full TV
screen at the same time as one or more other programs are displayed in
inset windows. Sound is usually from the main program only.

presentation

During a conference, the local site shares the content input from a
computer with remote sites, such as an excel file, a diagram, or slides.

records

The telepresence system has the following records: the contacts,
favorite conferences, conference history, and script.

release chair

Pass the chair control to another site.

request chair

Request chair rights and become the chair site.

request floor

Request to speak. During a conference, users can request the floor
from the chair site.

right screen

This is the screen of the right HD display in the telepresence system
and displays the video from the right codec.

script

From the Web interface of the telepresence system, a participant can
create and edit the script to be used in a conference. Then, the
