Using Local Recording (Optional)
The telepresence system provides recording equipment to record conference video, audio, and
presentations received at the local site.
9.1 Setting Recording Parameters
Context
Before recording a conference, set the parameters of the recording system on the Telepresence
System Manager, and connect video and audio ports to the recording system.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Telepresence System Manager as the super administrator.
Step 2
Click
Device Control
to display the device topology.
Step 3
Configure the video ports connected to the recording system.

Right-click
Video Ports
.
2.
Select
Settings
from the shortcut menu to display the
Video Port Settings
screen.
3.
Configure the video ports for the recording system according to device connections. Four
types of video recording systems are defined in the telepresence system:
Left recording
encoder
,
Center recording encoder
,
Right recording encoder
, and
Presentation
recording encoder
.
4.
Click
Save
.
Step 4
Configure the audio ports connected to the recording system.
1.
Right-click
Audio Ports
.
2.
Select
Settings
from the shortcut menu to display the
Audio Port Settings
screen.
3.
Click the
Line Output Ports
tab.
4.
Select the port numbers for the audio ports according to device connections. Select
Center recording encoder
for
Recording encoder
and
Recording encoder
.
Make sure the colors of the connected ports and cable connectors are the same.
5.
Click
Save
.
