3.6.5 Configuring Default Conference Settings
Context
From the touch panel, you can configure default conference settings.

Conference parameters
Parameter
Description
Default call type
Specifies the default protocol used when calling a site.
H323
: The H.323 protocol is used for audio-visual conferences.
4E1
: 4E1 is used for audio-visual conferences.
NOTE
This option is available only when the telepresence host has a 4E1 interface
card installed and 4E1 parameters have been set on the Telepresence System
Manager.
SIP
: The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is used for
audio-visual conferences.
AUTO
: The system randomly selects a protocol.

Specifies whether the presentation sharing function is supported.
Disable
: not supported

Answer mode
Specifies the local site's answer mode when there is an incoming
call. It is recommended that you set this parameter to
Auto
.
Auto
: Calls are answered automatically.
Manual
: Calls must be answered manually.
Conference
security
Specifies whether media stream encryption is enabled for the
conference.
Insecure conference
: not encrypted
Secure media conference
: encrypted
Voice activation
sensitivity
Specifies the sensitivity for the voice activation function used in
multipoint conferences.
High
: Voice activation is performed even when the voice
volume is low.
Medium
: Voice activation is performed when the voice volume
is medium to high.
Low
: Voice activation is performed when the voice volume is
high.
