2.3.2 Setting Network Parameters
Set the parameters of internal and external network interfaces before using the telepresence
system.
The telepresence host provides internal and external network interfaces. The internal network
interface is used for the connection to devices in the telepresence system, such as the touch
panel. The external network interface is used for the connection to devices outside the
telepresence system.
From the home page of the Telepresence System Manager, choose
System Settings
>
Network
, set the parameters of the internal and external network interfaces, and click
Save
.
2.3.3 Setting 4E1 Parameters
If the center codec has a 4E1 interface card installed and 4E1 is selected as the line type, the
following parameters must be set: call account, call password, clock mode, and sensitivity.
From the home page of the Telepresence System Manager, choose
System Settings
>
4E1
, set
4E1 parameters, and click
Save
.
2.3.4 Setting H.323/SIP Parameters
The telepresence system supports H.323 and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Before making
calls, set the registration parameters for each protocol.
From the home page of the Telepresence System Manager, choose
System Settings
>
H.323/SIP
, set H.323 and SIP parameters, and click
Save
.
To view the SIP and network gatekeeper (GK) registration information about any of the three codecs, on
the
Device Control
, click the corresponding codec, and check the details displayed on the right pane.
2.3.5 Setting Security and Service Parameters
Set security and service parameters that are applicable to H.323 video conferencing systems,
and the administrator's phone number.
From the home page of the Telepresence System Manager, choose
System Settings
>
Security and Service
, set security and service parameters, and click
Save
.
2.3.6 Setting Network Fault Tolerance Parameters
Appropriate settings of network fault tolerance parameters solve lip synchronization problems
during conferences.
From the home page of the Telepresence System Manager, choose
System Settings
>
Network Fault Tolerance
, set network fault tolerance parameters, and click
Save
.
