6.4. Alarm sensitivity settings

The " Alarms " screen allows to set the alarms sensitivity for platelet, WBC and XB alarms.
In the " Analys. " tab:
1- Press " Alarms " radio button.
2- Use arrow buttons to select alarm type in the list.
3- Set the platelet alarms (See Platelet alarm settings, page 6-13 ), the morphological WBC alarms
(See WBC alarm settings, page 6-13 ) and the XB statitstics alarms (See XB alarm settings, page 6-13 ).
4- Press " Close " key to close the virtual keyboard if it is opened.
5- Press " OK " button.
Platelet alarm settings
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- Type platelet alarms using the virtual keyboard or an external keyboard (if one is connected):

Enter the SCL value in the " SCL threshold " field. " 8 " % is factory set by default.

Enter the SCH value in the " SCH threshold " field. " 8 "% is factory set by default.
◆
Enter the MIC value in the " MIC threshold " field. " 8 "% is factory set by default.
WBC alarm settings
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- Type WBC alarms using the virtual keyboard or an external keyboard (if one is connected):

Enter the L1 value in the " L1 " field. " 8 " % is factory set by default.

Enter the M2 value in the " M2 " field. " 8 " % is factory set by default.

Enter the G1 value in the " G1 " field. " 15 " % is factory set by default.

Enter the G2 value in the " G2 " field. " 15 " % is factory set by default.

Enter the G3 value in the " G3 " field. " 8 " % is factory set by default.
XB alarm settings
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- Type the MCV min. and max. values in the " MCV " fields, the MCH min. and max. values in the
" MCH " fields and the MCHC min. and max. values in the " MCHC " fields using the virtual keyboard or
an external keyboard (if one is connected).

PDW and PCT have not been established as indications for this product, in
the United States. The use of PDW and PCT should be restricted to research
and Investigational measurements only.

There is no study for the LMG 3Diff formula. A 5Diff formula study has been
taken into account to establish these default values. Thus, the granulocytes
are defined as follows: GRA = NEU + BAS + EOS.
Expected values will vary with sample population and/or geographical
location. It is highly recommended that each laboratory establish its own
normal ranges based upon the local population!
