3. Localization settings
3.1. Localization tab description

Enter menu " Maintenance\Serv.\Settings\Local. ".
The " Local. " tab allows to set:

The system language: See 3.2. Language setting, page 6-5 .
◆
The external keyboard layout: See 3.3. External keyboard layout setting, page 6-5 .
◆
The date and time format: See 3.4. Date format setting, page 6-5 .
◆
The numerical data format: See 3.5. Numerical data format setting, page 6-5 .

This tab also allows to update the contextual help system: See 3.6. Update contextual help, page
6-6 .
3.2. Language setting
The " Local. " tab contains the list of available languages, shown by their country flag:
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- In " Language ": press radio button associated with the country flag to select the corresponding
language.
3- Press " OK " button.
3.3. External keyboard layout setting
The " Local. " tab contains the list of available keyboard layouts, shown by their country flag:
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- In " Keyboard ": press radio button associated with the country flag to select the corresponding
keyboard layout.
3- Press " OK " button.
3.4. Date format setting
In the " Local. " tab:
1- Press " Edit " button.
In " Date format ", there are 3 available date formats for international use:

DD/MM/YYYY (factory set by default.)
◆
MM/DD/YYYY
◆
YYYY/MM/DD (USA default settings)
2- Select the date format that corresponds to your national date format.
3- Press " OK " button.
3.5. Numerical data format setting
In the " Local. " tab:
1- Press " Edit " button.
2- In " Separator ": press corresponding radio button to select the character ([.] or [,]) to be used
with decimal numbers. [.] is factory set by default.
3- Press " OK " button.
Localization settings can only be done by a user with a " Scientist " profile.

All these items could be set at the same time or separetely. If it is at the
same time: apply all your modifications then press "
OK " button to validate.

If modified, the system takes the changes into account on next instrument
startup.
◆
At any time, the " Cancel " button allows to cancel modifications and reset
all fields with previous values.
