3.3 Engine
- The functional outline of electric parts/control board in engine, the functional
outline, the setting of the switch, the list of the check point and LED display, and the notes
at the replacement are explained.
3.3.1 EZJ133 board (MPU board)
[Function]
- Performs print control, circulation system control, nozzle control (charge
voltage, excitation voltage, auto phase and the like) and communication.
- Stores the user data (print data, substitution rules) and operation
management information.
- EZJ133 board is the dedicated part for UX-D (Twin-nozzle).
[Setting of the switch, Check point, LED display etc]
- There is no check point with regard to setting of the switch nor LED display.

[Replacement procedures of EZJ133 board]
(1) Save the data in USB memory by using
“Copy data (IJP
→
USB)
” function.
(Data is copyed from IJ Printer to USB memory.)
(2) Turn the main power switch ON.
(3) Open the control panel and remove the connector cables of CN2 and CN4 on
EZJ134 board.
(4) Remove EZJ134 board (with fixing metal plate attached ). Note that remove the
wires clamped on the back of the metal plate, and then removed connectors of CN1
and CN3.
(5) Remove connector cables and batteries onEZJ133 board and EZJ125 board.
(6) Remove EZJ125 board. When EZJ130 bord is mounted, remove it as well.
(7) Remove the hexagonal metal spacers (2pcs) and the fixing screw (1 piece) from
EZJ125 board.
(8) Remove the protective cover for high voltage power supply, and then remove
EZJ133 board.
(9) Remove the model key which is installed on old EZJ133 board and re-install it on
the new EZJ133 board to be replaced.
(10) Mount EZJ134 board (with fixing metal plate attached). Note that clamp the wires
of CN1 and CN3 on the back of the metal plate, and then connect the connectors
of CN1 and CN3.
- When replacing EZJ133 board, the system data USB memory is required.
System data USB memory is the one that stores the latest version of software.
By executing download, the software versions of EZJ128 and EZJ133 will be matched.
If download is not executed, it might cause unstable operation due to mismatching
of the software versions of EZJ128 and EZJ133.
- Saving of user data is necessary.
Save the data to USB memory by using the following procedures before replacing
the EZJ133 board, and recover the data after the replacement.
The same memory can be used for both System data USB memory and Backup
USB memory. Use USB memory (1GB or larger), which is commercially available.
- When replacing the EZJ133 board, be sure to perform
“System reset” according to
the following replacement procedures.
- Before replacing boards, be sure to turn off the power.
- After replacing boards, be sure to connect the connectors in place.
- Model key and Language key have the unit-specific data. Be sure to remove the
Model key and Language key from old EZJ133 board and install those key to new
EZJ133 board.
