The
Section Safety Messages
at the beginning of a chapter are
pinpointed particularly and highlighted by a signal word according to the
degree of endangerment. The kind of danger is specified exactly by the
safety message text and
optionally
by a specific safety sign.

The
Integrated Safety Messages
within an instruction description are
highlighted with a signal word according to the degree of endangerment.
The kind of danger is specified exactly by the safety message text.

Indicates a direct hazard with high risk, which
will have as consequence death or grievous
bodily harm if it isn't avoided.
Indicates a Hazardous Situation Which if not
Avoided, will Result in Death or Serious Injury.
Indicates a possible hazard with medium risk,
which will have as consequence death or
(grievous) bodily harm if it isn't avoided.
Indicates a Hazardous Situation Which if not
Avoided, could Result in Death or Serious
Injury.
Indicates a minor hazard with medium risk,
which could have as consequence simple
battery if it isn't avoided.
Indicates a Hazardous Situation Which if not
Avoided, may Result in Minor or Moderate
Injury.
