The brake release lever must never be used to lower the load
platform during operation. It is intended only for use in
emergencies (see section 10.1.1).
7.2 Safety check before starting work
Perform a test run with an empty load platform to ensure that the entire
travel path of the platform is clear.
The load platform must be stopped immediately if
−
the
EMERGENCY STOP
button is pressed.
−
the DOWN limit switch is triggered.
−
The UP limit switch has been actuated or the trolley has reached the
mast end.
−
The OFF button on the electric module of the landing-level safety
door (if there is one) is pressed.
The load platform must not be started if
−
It is overloaded (red warning light is on).
−
The load platform has been turned to the landing-level safety door for
loading or unloading.
−
ramp is open.
−
the safety gear has triggered.
The load platform may not continue automatically if
−
the selector switch on the manual control console is set to “ I ”
(manual).
−
The load platform is located near the ground (approx. 2 m)
irrespective of the selector switch position.
Alarm signal function test
The load platform must emit a warning tone in both travel directions
when it is near to the ground (approx. 2 m).

When near to the ground (approx. 2 m), the GEDA 500 Z must not
be able to be operated from the landing gate.
