Malfunctions - Diagnosis – Repair

Malfunctions must only be rectified by competent persons! Before

troubleshooting, if possible, lower the platform and unload!

Before working on the electrical system of the rack and pinion lift,

switch off and secure the main switch. For safety reasons, remove

the mains plug. Immediately discontinue operation if faults occur

that endanger operational safety!

If malfunctions occur, check the following:

Mains supply connected?

Is the main switch on the ground-station switch box switched on?

Fuse in building site main cabinet (16 A, slow-to-blow)?

Correct extension cable?

 Machines with 230 V drive min. 3 x 2.5 mm², better 3x4 mm².

 Machines with 400 V drive min. 5 x 2.5 mm².

*Is the green control light on the switch box with main switch

illuminated (only on machines with 400 V drive)?

- If not, check the fuses in this switch box or the phase sequence.

Red warning lamp on the platform control illuminates (platform is

overloaded)

Are the

EMERGENCY STOP

buttons unlocked at the control points?

Is the ramp closed and has the safety hook engaged twice?

Is the load platform in travel position (not turned towards the landing-

level safety door)?

Is the key switch on the platform control correct for the operation

mode?

Operation

= left

 key removed

Assembly

= right

 key in

Load platform run too low or too high (refer to Ch. 10.1.3/10.1.2)?

Are the actuating controls for the

UP

and

DOWN

limit switches

functioning properly?

Has the safety gear engaged (for release, refer to Ch. 10.2)?

Are all electric modules plugged into the landing-level safety doors?

Dummy plug connected?

(Operation - upper landing; Assembly - ground-station switch box)

Check the miniature fuses in the ground-station switch box (primary 2

x 400 mA, secondary 1.6 A)

Before opening the switch box, disconnect the mains plug!
