1 Blood-In Operation
The Blood-In operation (Figure 1-13) opens valve V1, allowing the starting cell
product to flow into the cell processing bag by gravity. The starting cell product
volume may be greater than the capacity of the cell processing bag. If so, not all of
the starting cell product will flow into the cell processing bag during the Blood-In
operation. Any remaining starting cell product may be added during subsequent
Agitate/Wash-In operations by programming valve V1 to open instead of valves V2
or V3.

Applicable to Auto or Manual Mode
Existing Condition
• Cell processing set is installed.
• Starting cell product and solutions are connected.
• Starting cell product has been diluted (if applicable).
• Clamp is removed from the clear tubing (if applicable).
Operation Starts
When
BLOOD IN is pressed.
Result
• V1 opens.
• Starting cell product flows by gravity into the cell processing
bag (through V1).
Options Available
During Operation
• AIR OUT
• STOP RESET
Operation Ends
When
• AIR OUT is pressed.
