It is recommended that the L41 be located in an area where user access is limited to prevent the user
from making accidental or unauthorized changes to any of the L41 settings while it is unlocked. The
remote lock event input function can be used to prevent the user from unlocking the L41 via the reset
key on the front panel if the input is hardwired on at all times. However; there will still be brief periods
where the L41 will remain in an unlocked state after a change is made via the MCTB Configurator or
runtime application.
4.3.20 Display Format
The Display Format entry is used to select the normal display mode for the limit control in a non-limit condition.
The display format selections are mutually exclusive, i.e., selecting one will turn off the others. Once the desired
display format has been chosen
, press the “Done” button to return to the main Limit Configuration screen.
When
Display SAFE
is selected, the front panel of the L41 and the Loop View and All View screens in the
runtime application will display the word “SAFE” when the limit alarm is not active. When a limit alarm is
activated, the word “SAFE” will be replaced with either the high limit set point (if the high limit alarm is tripped)
or the low limit set point (if the low limit alarm is tripped).
When
Display high limit set point
is selected, the front panel of the L41 and the Loop View and All View
screens in the runtime application will display the high limit set point regardless of the limit alarm condition.
When
Display low limit set point
is selected, the front panel of the L41 and the Loop View and All View
screens in the runtime application will display the low limit set point regardless of the limit alarm condition.
4.3.21 Restart Mode
(MCTB 4.3” version 4MA V1.3 only)
The Restart Mode entry is used to select the limit control state on power up. Once the desired mode has been
chosen, press the “Done” button to return to the main Limit Configuration screen.
NOTE:
Available on limit control with V.16 firmware or later. Limit controls prior to V.16 operate according to
the “Normal” mode described below.
