6.2.1 

Starting a Ramp/Soak Program at a Specific Time 

(MCTB 4.3” version 4MA V1.3 only) 

A program can be set to start at a specific date/time by pressing the TOD Start icon.  Similar to pressing the 
Run icon, if a program is already loaded, the user will be able to set the date/time for current program to start 
without entering  a start step.   If there is  the need to set the step for the  program to start from, or a specific 
program  was  selected  to  run,  the  user  will  be  able  to  enter  the  start  step  after  setting  the  date/time  for  the 
program to start. 
 

 

 
The date and time fields will automatically populate with the current date and time (within the next half-hour 
increment).  Each field can then be set to the specific date and time desired for the program to begin.  When 
the Start button is pressed and a start step entry is required, the Start Step entry will be shown; otherwise, the 
program will be placed into TOD start from step 1. 
 

NOTE:  Time is entered in a 24-hour time format.  To convert time from a 12-hour format (AM/PM) into 24-hour 

format, add 12 to the hours for PM time.  For example, 2pm will be a value of 14 (2 + 12) for hours.  A 
time of 5:30pm will be 17 hours, 30 minutes. 

 

 
The program status will then indicate that the program is in TOD Start and include the date and time at which 
the program is to start.  Once the start time is reached, the program will then begin operation. 
 

 

 

IMPORTANT:  When a program is in TOD Start, any loops and events that are under program control will be 

locked out from user adjustment.  Even though the program is not yet executing its programmed 
steps, the  program  is technically active.  This means that any loop set points and/or  events 
should be set to the desired state prior to starting the program.
