How to Shift the Display Range
When used together, the basic range and range
shifting functions allow you to select the depth
you can see on the screen. The basic range can
be thought of as providing a "window" into the
water column and range shifting as moving the
"window" to the desired depth.
Note:
The seabed echo may be lost if the shift
is at a greater value than the seabed depth.

How to shift the display range for the FCV-38 and external echo
sounders where "External Fish Finder Window" is set to "Off"
at installation
Where [External Fish Finder Window] is set to [Off] at installation, the shift function is
applied to both the FCV-38 and the external fish finder.
Note:
This function is not available when auto range or auto shift is active.
1. Display the header if it is not "pinned". If the header is displayed, go to step 2.
2. Click the [SHIFT] indication on the header. The indication is now highlighted in a
green color.
3. Scroll to change the amount of shift used. The current shift setting appears in on
the header.

How to shift the display range for external echo sounders
where "External Fish Finder Window" is set to "On" at installa-
tion
1. Place the cursor inside the external fish finder screen, then right-click. The [Exter-
nal Fish Finder] menu appears.
2. The [Sounder] item is already selected. At the right-side of the menu window, click
[Shift].
3. To the far right-hand side of the [Shift] setting value, select the
W
button to de-
crease the setting, or select the
X
button to increase the setting.
4. Click [Apply] to save the current changes and change or adjust other settings.
Click [OK] to save the current changes and close the menu window.
Click [Cancel] to abort all changes and close the menu window.
Window can be
