[Stabilization Area]
When heaving exceeds the value set here, stabilization is stopped and the
stabilization icon at the top of the screen is displayed with an "X", indicat-
ing it has stopped. However, the setting for [Stabilization] is kept [On].
When heaving is once again less than the value set here, stabilization is
restarted and the "X" disappears.
[Beam Stabilization]
Set to [On] to enable the beam stabilization function, via the motion sensor
inside the unit or the Satellite Compass
™

[Motion Sensor Se-
lect]
Selects the motion sensor to be used.
[Motion Sensor]: Use the internal motion sensor.
[SC]: Use the Satellite Compass
™
.

[Stabilization Sensor]
Selects the Satellite Compass
™
model connected to the FCV-38.
[Delay Time]
Set at installation. Available only when [Stabilization Sensor] is set to
[Manual]. Do not change this setting.
[Roll Offset]
If the roll indication appears to be wrong you can compensate for the dif-
ference here. Enter a positive value it the indication is lower than actual,
or enter a negative value if the indication is higher than actual. For exam-
ple if the indication is 1° but the actual value is 2°, enter "+1".
[Pitch Offset]
If the pitch indication appears to be wrong you can compensate for the dif-
ference here. Enter a positive value it the indication is lower than actual,
or enter a negative value if the indication is higher than actual. For exam-
ple if the indication is 2° but the actual value is 1°, enter "-1".
[TD fore-aft]
Set at installation. Indicates the location and height of the Satellite Com-
pass
™
antenna. Do not change these settings.

Motion Sensor
] (Below settings are valid when [Motion Sensor Select] is selected to [Motion Sen-
sor].
[Roll Offset]
If the roll indication appears to be wrong you can compensate for the dif-
ference here. For example, if the internal motion sensor is tilted to the port
side, enter a minus value.
[Pitch Offset]
If the pitch indication appears to be wrong you can compensate for the dif-
ference here. For example, if the internal motion sensor is tilted to the bow,
enter a minus value.
[Bow Direction]
Enter the number of degrees the internal motion sensor is positioned from
the bow. For example, if the transceiver unit is installed with its front panel
facing port side, the internal motion sensor is directed toward the bow. If
the front panel is directed toward the bow, enter "90°".
