2.3 IO_Unit

Table 2.5 IO_Unit external interfaces

2.3.1

BMM (COM port and USB port)

The BMM is a board that manages input and output of a partition. Each partition
requires one BMM. Two BMMs can be mounted in an IO_Unit:

Each partition requires one BMM.

A Video port, two USB ports, and a COM port are also mounted on the BMM.

2.3.2

HDD

The HDD is connected to the SCSI-BP (SCBP). Four U320 SCSI 3.5-inch HDDs,
which are hot-pluggable, can be mounted.

HDD mirroring is supported with optional software.
